I have been in the recording studio working on a new project featuring the compositions of Paul Motian. Joining me on this project are:
Mick Dobday, piano
Dan Koltan, bass
Alex Trajano, drums
Recording began in January of this year at Solid Sound in Ann Arbor. With additional recording at Tempermill Studios in Ferndale.
This is a project that has been in the works for some time. Years ago I contacted Paul and he graciously sent me some of his compositions. After he had passed away, I came in contact with other musicians who had access to more of his compositions and I was able to make contact with his music administrator Hens Wendl who sent me more compositions that I had requested. I am very excited about this project and we are making some great progress in our recording.
